IT Training

Since the Information Technology Assistance Program (ITAP) phased out at the end of May, new web resources have been created to assist faculty and staff with finding technology training resources to meet their needs. On-line training is available for Microsoft Products, Adobe Products, and many other Software titles. Each of these sites provide information and links to real-time training resources to assist with many technology training needs.

Here are a few of the topics available:

  • Editing images using Adobe Photoshop
  • Creating great presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Learn to create Macros in Microsoft Excel
  • Create videos using Adobe Premiere
  • And much, MUCH more!

One of the options available for on-line training is Lynda.com. ITS has purchased a limited number licenses for Lynda.com. Lynda.com provides an extensive library of up-to-date technology training for hundreds of software products. These training videos may be viewed on a PC or Mac that meets the system requirements listed on this site http://www.lynda.com/support/SystemRequirements.aspx.

Those interested in learning more about the new training options should contact the TAC at TAC@ferris.edu.  Please include your name, product you would like to learn, what you want to learn, and the best way to contact you in your email.
