Adobe Acrobat Pro - Using Comments

Has anyone ever asked you to read over a paper they wrote or to look over a document to make sure everything is correct? Try opening the document into Adobe Acrobat Pro and using the Comment feature. You can add sticky notes, highlight, attach, insert, replace, cross out, or underline contents of the document. Anything you would need to help edit a document without printing it off and red-penning it.

CPS Clickers for Spring 2013

Spring semester is right around the corner. If you will be using the CPS clicker system for Spring 2013, please email the TAC with a list of classrooms where you will be using CPS.

CPS version 6.71 is the current version being used at Ferris. TAC will ensure the software and receiver are installed on the computer in the podium before the first day of classes. Please contact Jody Gardei if there are any questions.

Do Not Disturb on iOS

Did you know that you can now set your iPhone & iPad to "Do Not Disturb" mode during meetings?  If you have upgraded to iOS 6, this option will be available when you go into "Settings".  When "Do Not Disturb" is ON you will not receive push notifications, or calls – so there will be no interruptions during your meetings!  However, as a default option, if a person calls twice within three minutes you will receive the second call so you will not miss an emergency. Due to the increased demand for access to online training videos, the TAC has increased from 10 to 20 concurrent user licenses. This means more people will be able to request access to and keep their access active for longer periods of time.

TAC Redeploys Technicians to Academic Buildings

The TAC has redeployed computer technicians out to four different geographical pod locations on the main campus. Technicians will now be closer to the customer areas to address emergencies.

You will still contact the TAC first to place a work order for assistance. Technicians will continue to receive their work from the TAC's work order system.
